In this episode of Jason’s Bricks in 5, I’ve got a haul that I honestly wasn’t expecting. One package was on my radar, but the other showed up earlier in the day and was partially opened because I had no idea who it was from. Turns out it was from a viewer—Saba Eric, the same guy who kicked off the “who the heck is Earl?” thing from Bricking News—and it’s the biggest viewer package I’ve ever gotten. First up, I unbox a “fantasy” set that’s going to be in an upcoming review: a retro collection hand-crank sewing machine. I’m not a sewer (my daughter is—she’s made clothes and everything), but I’m into these retro builds, and this one has a gear train that I’m genuinely curious to see in action. Then we get into the real surprise: a LEGO box full of gift-with-purchase sets, including multiple Tropical Rainforest dioramas, Coral Reef, and the Castle. I talk through the Bricklink side of it too—whether it makes more sense to sell sealed, part out (but single sets often aren’t worth it), or even use them for giveaways—because sometimes giving stuff out is the fun part.
