About This Video

In this video I’m showing my brand new tiny pedalboard setup: a Pedaltrain Nano Plus loaded with a Neural DSP Quad Cortex Mini, powered by an EBS Runsten underneath, and built around a dual-output bass workflow. Since my bass has two outputs, I run two XVive P-58 wireless units side by side—one for the P-style pickup and one for the neck pickup—straight into input 1 and 2 on the QC Mini. And yes… to my utter amusement and amazement, they actually play nice together with no weird interference. I also love that the P-58 receivers have a quarter-inch input on the side, so if anything goes sideways I can just plug in cables and keep going. On the control side, I’m using the Darkglass Anagram Press via TRS into the QC Mini for volume swells, and I’ve also assigned it to a whammy block for some extra fun. The big takeaway here is “big tones, small format”—this is by far the smallest dual-output solution I’ve managed to build, and it’s been gig-tested. I also walk through the live preset I used (it’s on Cortex Cloud as “Arkö Swiss Army Bass”), plus a dual-output variant with two instances of Parallax X for a massive, growly sound without compromising size or functionality.
