We kicked things off with a straight wow-factor transparent OLED that’s true 4K HDR, plus a wireless processor where all your sources plug in, so you can place it anywhere in the room. We also hit a bunch of audio demos—soundbars, two-channel, and outdoor—because every demo we experienced today, we learned something and we’re bringing those takeaways back to real Texas installs. From there, we sat down with Josh.ai and got a deep look at what they’re pushing this year: a smoother UI, easier room navigation, better scene creation, and AI facial recognition tied into security. The doorbell/camera demo on the new 10-inch touchscreen was legit, and the AI scene-building is getting scary good—give it a scenario and it builds the lifestyle automation for you. We also got hands-on with JVC’s NZ900 projector and a 166-inch screen that changes aspect ratio, checked out Sony’s art-frame direction with Bravia plus Leon Frame Studio sensors, and wrapped with integrator-focused highlights like Control4 X4, Luma cameras/NVRs, WattBox power, and a fully outdoor-rated SunBrite TV.
