In this video I’m out at a real Texas build—this barndominium is still under construction, and yes, there’s literally a forklift in the living room. While the place is coming together, I’m walking through one of the Control4 user interfaces I use a lot: the T4. The big point I want you to understand is that Control4’s interfaces all work together. Anything I do on the T4 shows up on the app, and anything I do on the app happens on the T4—so you’re not “choosing one,” you’re choosing what’s most convenient in each room. I also show how Control4 is organized by rooms. You pick the room, and then you get the features available in that space—today I’m focused on the living room. From there, I demo the “Watch” feature, which is basically your video command center. It gives you shortcuts straight into sources and apps, like Netflix, and if the TV is off it’ll power on and jump right where you want to be. Once you launch it, the T4 becomes a universal remote for the Roku with menu navigation and a swipe feature that’s handy when you don’t want to hunt for buttons.
