Wow… it’s really been a minute. In this video I’m basically just yapping and giving y’all a real update on where I’ve been, if I even freelance anymore, and what my plans are for this channel moving forward. The biggest thing: I still freelance… yes and no. I’m at a point where I don’t have to take every single job anymore because I run an online e-commerce business, so I’m only saying yes to gigs that make sense for me. I’m being transparent—my bare minimum now is $1,500, because those $400–$800 jobs just aren’t worth the time, stress, gas, or miles on my car. I’ve been locked in building e-commerce because it gives me what I’ve always wanted: true freedom. Location freedom, financial freedom, and not having to sit around waiting for slow seasons, production hub postings, or someone to hit me with a last-minute low-budget assistant gig. Filmmaking is still the passion, but I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket anymore. From here on out, I want to document the journey—my businesses, the struggles, the ups and downs, and how I’m building toward bigger goals—without starting a whole new channel.
