It’s been exactly one month with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, so in this video I break down the real pros and cons after actually using it for my behind-the-scenes stuff. I start off pretty negative because there are a few things that genuinely annoy me: the gimbal motor will randomly spazz out and start spinning, the menu system feels cramped to navigate, and the constant on-screen notifications get in the way when I’m trying to move fast. I also talk about image quality—it's not “bad,” but I personally don’t love that action-cam look, especially coming from an FX6. And on top of that, it’s not weather resistant, which is wild if you’re going to treat it like an action camera. Then I get into what I actually love about it. The DJI Mic in the Creator Combo is a huge win for me: 32-bit float so I don’t worry about clipping, noise reduction, internal recording, and it connects instantly to the Pocket 3. I also talk about the accessories being genuinely useful, the surprisingly solid record times on a 64GB micro SD, and the fact it has D-Log (even though I personally don’t push action-cam footage hard in grading). At the end, I explain the main reason I bought it: a small, lowkey, dedicated behind-the-scenes camera that I can pull out, hit record, and stay locked in—without using my phone.
