About This Video

I’m getting ready for a multi-day corporate event shoot in Orlando, and honestly… I pretty much got hired because of my gear. The production company is flying in and they didn’t want to travel with lights, stands, and all the filmmaking stuff, so they needed a local videographer with a solid kit. I don’t have the biggest kit in the world, but I do have a basic setup that covers most interviews and event coverage—FX6, key lights, small lights, stands, tripod, and my EasyRig for those long hours. This vlog is the real behind-the-scenes of what corporate work actually feels like: loading a heavy wagon, forgetting stuff (yes, I had to walk back for my laptop and a sandbag), and then problem-solving once we’re on site. We had lighting issues nonstop—window reflections, key light placement, and raccoon eyes—so I had to improvise with my Amaran 60D, diffusion, and whatever we could rig up in a tiny room. The biggest takeaway is that “expensive gear” isn’t the whole story—thinking ahead (like bringing an SSD) and staying calm in high-stress environments is what makes clients trust you and want you back.
