About This Video

Good morning everyone—I’m out inspecting a 2022 Thor ACE Class A, and this one is a perfect example of why “it’s a 2022” does not mean “it’s trouble-free.” I start on the exterior and immediately find a cracked windshield (actually more than one crack), plus damage that looks like it got nailed or smashed. Once I get the keys, I walk through issues the owner already knew about—like a window that won’t shut and an overhead bunk setup that’s supposed to stay up with magnets… but doesn’t. Up on the roof is where things really get ugly: delamination/waves, missing screws that should be sealed (direct access for water), a skylight lifting with screws backing out and rusting, a busted antenna, holes/cracks in vents/covers, and questionable sealant/tape work that’s peeling. I also find areas that crunch underfoot (which can mean rot under the roof), slide-area rot with moisture meter readings up to 70–100% in spots, and water damage staining that spreads across walls and into flooring and cheap pressed-board trim that swells like a sponge. In the bathroom, my leak test shows active leaks and signs of prior leaks. Add in DIY valve stem extensions that release air, uneven front tire wear, and a bunch of loose/unfinished items—and you’ve got a “think again” RV. Would you buy it?
