In this video I went straight into the Unique warehouse with Ricky and Chris to talk about the stuff nobody wants to talk about… but everybody deals with: black and gray tanks. There’s a ton of bad advice floating around, so I wanted the real “why” behind clogs, odors, poop pyramids, and those lying tank sensors. We break down what actually causes problems (spoiler: it’s usually not your toilet paper) and why water matters more than most people want to admit. We get into the science of bacteria vs. enzymes and why “bacteria + enzymes” is the gold standard if you want odor control, waste breakdown, and fewer sensor issues. I also show you why most built-in tank rinsers and popular rinse tools don’t “power wash” your tank like people think—they mostly just fill it. The best rinse is filling the tank as high as you safely can (watching through the toilet) and then dumping for a big rush that clears ledges and leftover waste. Bottom line: valve closed, use plenty of water, dump every 5–7 days, and stop chasing magic-bullet products that promise 2–3 weeks of perfection.
