In this video, I did something a little different: I ran over 50 of my own Premier RV Inspection reports through ChatGPT to see what patterns would shake out. People ask me all the time what I find most during inspections—and which brands I think are the “best” or the “worst.” Instead of going only off my memory, I fed the data in and asked AI to rank the top brands, the bottom brands, and the most common issues I’m documenting out in the field. On the “best” side, the results didn’t surprise me: Brinkley came in at #1 (they consistently do well for me), Newmar was #2 for upscale motorhomes, and Airstream was #3—still holding quality standards even under Thor ownership. On the “worst” side, Thor Motor Coach landed at #1 (based on the motorhomes I inspect), Forest River was #2 across towables and motorhomes, and Fleetwood came in #3—though I’ll be honest, I don’t fully agree with that one because I’ve seen plenty of great older Fleetwoods. For the most common issues, sealant failures were #1 (roof and sidewalls), slide problems were #2 (misalignment, roller issues, and even slide floor rot), and plumbing/water system issues were #3—especially leaks and water damage on used rigs. My big takeaway: no matter what you’re buying, an inspection matters, because you never really know how an RV was built—or how it was cared for.
