If you’re trying to pay with Apple Pay and the double-click on the side button does nothing, I know how frustrating that is—especially when you’re standing at the checkout. In this video, I walk you through 4 quick fixes that usually bring the Wallet/Apple Pay shortcut back on any iPhone. First, I show you where the “Double-Click Side Button” setting lives inside Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay (or under Apple Pay Defaults on newer iOS versions). If it’s already on, I recommend toggling it off, waiting 10–20 seconds, and turning it back on. Next, I make sure you actually have at least one card added—because without a card, the double-click won’t open the payment screen. Then I check Face ID settings and enable “Contactless & Payments” so your iPhone can authenticate purchases properly. Finally, I go into Screen Time restrictions to confirm Wallet isn’t blocked under Allowed Apps. In most cases, one of these fixes restores Apple Pay so you can pay fast again.
