Connecting your iPhone to a smart TV just makes everything way better—bigger screen, easier viewing, and you’re not forcing everyone to crowd around a tiny phone. In this video, I walk you through two simple methods that work with most smart TVs, so you can get your content up on the big display fast. First, I show you the classic Screen Mirroring (AirPlay) method. You open Control Center, tap the Screen Mirroring icon (the two overlapping rectangles), and then pick your TV from the list of AirPlay-compatible devices. I’m using an LG smart TV in my example, but the steps are the same. If your TV doesn’t show up, the fix is usually simple: make sure your iPhone and your TV are on the exact same Wi‑Fi network (not mobile data, and not different networks). Second, I show how to cast YouTube from your iPhone—open a video in the YouTube app, tap the Cast icon near the CC button, select your TV, and after a couple seconds the video plays on your TV.
