About This Video

If your iPhone storage is full even after you’ve deleted a bunch of stuff, the problem is usually “hidden trash” that’s still sitting in Recently Deleted folders or buried inside app storage. In this video, I walk you through 5 simple ways I use to truly empty the trash on iPhone and recover space fast—no extra apps needed. I keep it step-by-step so you can follow along in a couple minutes and immediately see what’s taking up memory. First, I show you how to permanently delete Photos and Videos from the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album (remember: up to 30 days). Then we clean up Messages/iMessage attachments by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages and deleting large photos/videos you don’t need. After that, I do the same idea inside the Files app by clearing Files > Browse > Recently Deleted. Finally, one of my favorite methods is offloading unused apps from iPhone Storage—this refreshes the app and clears cache-like junk without deleting your documents or accounts. Use these steps when you’re stuck on “storage full” and want your iPhone running smoothly again.
