Upgrading my Creality CR-10S to the Bondtech CR-10S Direct Drive System (DDS)

I decided to invest in the Bondtech Upgrade Kit For Creality3D CR-10S Direct Drive System (DDS) for my recently updated CR-10S. This is my original CR-10 I bought two years ago and had purchased the updated electronics and second Z lead screw from Tiny Machines a while back. As you will see, the DDS Kit saves a ton of time! Several of my issues were wiring the BL Touch into the Creality 2.1 board and removing the z limit switch mount that came with the CR-10. Is it worth the $260? Absolutely! In my opinion ,it's a huge time saver! You're getting a very sturdy part that's all pre-wired and ready to plug into the electronics box. They provide the firmware to flash the CR-10S and you're up and running! If you want to add a BL Touch to it, they not only provide the holes to mount one on the side, but the mounting piece AND the firmware to support that! Yes....you can find several Bondtech/E3Dv6 mounts, fan ducts and ABL mounts freely on Thingiverse and elsewhere. I tried that but struggled picking a material that would stand up to the variety of materials and temperatures I would want to use. Then there is the firmware editing and while I don't mind doing that...this out of the box solution frees up my time to do the many other things I have going on!
