Hey guys—this one’s a quick GoFundMe update video, but I wanted to be really transparent about what’s been going on and where things stand. If you didn’t catch my first video, I link it so you can get the full context, but the short version is: August was brutal. Mama Cat passed away after a couple days of hospitalization (she was just shy of 18 and had a long, great life), and then two weeks later Theodore had a urinary blockage that turned into bladder stones and emergency vet visits. We got Theodore stabilized at the emergency vet, then my regular vet did another bladder surgery to remove the stones. We honestly thought that was going to be the “this fixes it” moment, but a few days later he had complications, his bloodwork was a mess, and they went in for exploratory surgery. During that surgery, his heart stopped and we lost him. Between emergency care and surgeries, it left me with a very large vet bill—just under $5,000—and I’m asking for help even though I’m not usually one to do that. As of filming, I’m about 42% toward my GoFundMe goal ($1,050 of $2,500), and I truly appreciate everyone who’s donated. Also, for anyone wondering how Molly’s doing—she was extremely depressed, so I brought home a kitten named Scooter, and they’re getting along great.
