Is this budget 3D printer a Bambu Lab killer, or just hype? About This Video

In this video I put the Elegoo Centauri Carbon through the same kind of real-world “big stack of filament” testing I do with every printer review. I bought it with my own money from the Elegoo US store, it showed up in about four days, and setup was basically unbox, remove the shipping screws, run calibration, and go. I cover the hardware highlights—256×256×256 build volume, reversible PEI bed, enclosed metal frame, decent lighting and webcam, and a 320°C direct-drive hotend with a hardened insert so it’s ready for carbon/glass-filled materials. Then I get into prints and materials: PLA (including my overhang-heavy kitten test), clear high-speed PETG, carbon fiber PLA (including a Batman bust with adaptive layers), carbon fiber PETG, glass-filled PETG, ABS, and ASA. Most of it printed exceptionally well for $299, but ASA was the one material I couldn’t get consistent because this printer doesn’t have a heated chamber—one part was fine, the next lifted. I wrap with my honest pros/cons: great value, solid prints, responsive support, and reasonable noise—but I really dislike the “remove the lid for PLA/PETG” guidance, I had a screeching fan out of the box (fixed by re-seating screws), and I’m concerned about the dated Klipper build and long-term upgrade path. Please print safe.
