We’re supposed to fly to Arizona early tomorrow for our son’s wedding, which means we have to leave Mr. Lemon (our Class B RV) in long-term airport parking. Today was supposed to be simple: propane, gas, packing, and lock the van down before our 4:00 AM airport departure. But while grabbing propane, something breaks and now we’re scrambling to figure out if we can even leave the van at the airport like this. We’ve been in Florida longer than planned, and this episode is a reminder that life on the road doesn’t always go as planned…especially on The Lemon Route. ✅ Follow our journey on The Lemon Route as we try to hit all 50 states in a Class B van before the clock runs out. 👍 Subscribe for weekly vanlife adventures, RV tips, and real-life road moments. 🌎 CONNECT WITH US Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/vancaskeys Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/vancaskeys HUGE THANKS TO THE SPONSORS WHO KEEP US ROLLING • NOOVO Camper Vans https://www.noovolife.com/ • Etrailer - https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Water-Filter/AquaFresh/A01-1131VP.html?etam=a0065 • RV Mattress www.rvmattress.com/vancaskeys *SHOP & SUPPORT US* GET THE VANLIFE-ish Hoodie - https://shop.vancaskeys.com/products/vanlife-ish-hoodie MERCH STORE: https://vancaskeys-shop.fourthwall.com/ JOIN OUR CREW (Patreon): https://www.patreon.com/vancaskeys AMAZON STOREFRONT: https://www.amazon.com/shop/hillarymccaskey *AFFLIATE LINKS:* Harvest Hosts – Save 15% https://www.harvest-hosts.com/2FT315P/2CTPL/ Sumo Springs – https://fas.st/t/hTxECyyC Super Springs – Use code vancaskeys – https://superspringsinternational.com/?rstr=Vancaskeys&utm_source=organic-referral&utm_medium=ambassador&utm_campaign=BobMccaskey-54 FROLI Bed Systems – Use code vancaskeys15 – https://superspringsinternational.com/?rstr=Vancaskeys&utm_source=organic-referral&utm_medium=ambassador&utm_campaign=BobMccaskey-54 OUR EXACT LITHIONICS BATTERY: https://lithionics.com/product/lithionics-12v-320ah-lithium-ion-battery/ Disclaimer: Some links are affiliate links - we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. About This Video

We’re supposed to fly out of Florida at 4:00 AM to make it to Arizona for our son’s wedding, which means Mr. Lemon (our Class B ProMaster) has to survive long-term airport parking. Today was supposed to be easy: gas, propane, packing, lock the van down, done. And then—because Lemon Route—Hillary rolls the passenger window down for two seconds and it makes that awful “did you hear that?” sound… and the window won’t go back up. Now we’re standing in the cold wind asking the only question that matters: can we even leave the van at the airport like this? We scramble and do the classic vanlife triage: find gas + propane + an auto parts store all in one stretch (NAPA, buddy old friend). Bob tears the door apart with basically a “take it apart and see what I find” plan, realizes the window regulator is toast, and then we pivot to a temporary fix. We push the glass up, tape it inside and outside, and shove a towel in the window track so it can’t slam down if the tape fails. Not pretty, but it’s secure enough to park. We dump the tanks (because of course we forgot earlier), scout Jacksonville airport lots (closed), and end up at USA Park where they let us sleep in the van before our shuttle. Gas and propane were the only wins—everything else was lemony chaos… with snow flurries in Florida, because why not.
