What’s up you guys—day two of the Switch-Pro SP9100 install on my 3rd gen Tacoma, and this is the part where I start cleaning up the under-hood mess for real. In this video I get the switch panel mounted up in the cab, run the main Switch-Pro harness through the firewall, and basically eliminate the three separate accessory harnesses I had shoved through there before (light bar + fog lights). Having multiple harnesses through the firewall was a pain, so I pulled those out and set it up so it’s just one clean run. I also walk through the loose wires on the Switch-Pro: the blue wire to ignition so the panel powers up when the truck turns on, and the white wire tied into the headlight/parking light circuit so the panel can dim like Switch-Pro recommends. I’m not gonna lie—wiring is super intimidating for me, so I show exactly what I did, including popping interior trim, tapping the correct wire on my 2020 (green at the outlet area), and dealing with a headlight connector that I straight-up broke while trying to unclamp it. In the end, the truck turns on, the panel lights up, and we’re ready for the next video where I actually wire in the accessories (light bar and three sets of fog lights) and dial in the colors in the app.
