About This Video

What’s up YouTube — in this video I’m walking you through our brand new 2025 Jayco Jay Flight SLX travel trailer. It’s 26 ft long (about 29 ft to the hitch) and it’s officially replacing my rooftop tent/bed rack setup that I sold. I bought it at Sky River in Paso Robles, CA, and I show you the outside features like the awning, storage compartments (the big pass-through is legit), the automatic tongue jack, dual propane tanks, 30-amp hookup, city water, and the outdoor shower with hot/cold. Inside, I do a full first look: the master area with the curtain for privacy, the oversized queen (and I added a 2.5-inch topper), the jack-knife sofa, kitchen layout, cabinets, fridge/freezer, and the dinette that converts into a bed with storage underneath. I also get into why we purposely skipped slide-outs on our first trailer — less to break, and I’ve already seen slide tracks get damaged on my in-laws’ trailer. I go over tank sizes, weights (about 4,685 lbs dry and roughly 5,600 loaded), and the bunk beds that honestly surprised me with how big they are. This is my first time ever towing a trailer, and we’re literally heading out to Sequoia in a few hours, so I’ll be documenting how it holds up on the trip.
