What’s up YouTube—since it’s 2024 (January 1st), I wanted to do a full modification update on my 2020 TRD Off-Road Tacoma for anyone who’s new to my page. I bought this truck brand new back in 2020 and it was 100% stock when I found it. Inside, the big thing is the leather seats/seat warmers, plus I did basically a full chrome delete—vents, start/stop button, door handles, all that. I’ve also got simple daily stuff like door seal protectors, a back seat organizer, and grab handles. On the outside, I go through what’s on the truck right now: a Prinsu roof rack with a Heretic 40” light bar, plus a CVT 55” awning (and I’m honestly considering selling the rack/light/awning because I don’t really use them anymore). I’ve got RRW steel bolt-on rock sliders, Rival 4x4 skids (engine/transfer), an All Pro steel gas tank skid, and an RCI rear diff skid—if you’re doing rocky trails, the gas tank skid and sliders are two upgrades I’d tell you to do early. I’m on 35” BFGoodrich KM3s with SCS BR6 wheels, and yes, you’re going to rub—so I show the trimming and why I run C4 high-clearance fender liners. Suspension-wise, I’m on Kings up front (2.5” extended travel, 700 lb coils, remote reservoirs/adjusters) with Camburg X-joint UCAs, and in the rear I’m running 12” King smoothies with an Archive Garage relocation kit and spacers to clear. Up front I’ve got a C4 hybrid bumper with Baja Designs lights, all controlled through a Switch-Pros setup, plus Total Chaos spindles and cam tab gussets for strength. This is my daily and my only off-road rig, so I push it, but I’m also realistic—if it breaks, I’m kind of screwed. 2024’s got more trails coming, including another Colorado trip, so stay tuned.
