What’s up YouTube — in this one I’m finally starting the Switch-Pros SP9100 install on my Tacoma because my wiring situation has been horrible for months. I’ve got light bar wiring, fog light wiring, random harnesses going through the firewall, and stuff zip-tied everywhere, and I’m over it. This is Part 1, so I’m not fully wiring accessories yet — I’m getting the foundation in place: the power tray, Blue Sea fuse block, terminal block/bus bar setup, and getting the Switch-Pro mounted and prepped so everything can be clean and serviceable. I break the install into sections and show how I laid out the fuse block (plus up top, minus/bus bar down low), mounted everything to the tray, and then did the color-coded Switch-Pro leads (brown 1 through gray 8). I also show how I measured, marked, cut, stripped, and crimped heat-shrink ring terminals, plus a little trick on flipping the unit to make it easier to attach everything to the terminal block. The hardest part of the whole day was honestly getting the power lead through that tight rubber grommet — that was a fight. By the end, the tray is mounted up on the inner fender (2020 Tacoma mounting points), the support bracket is tied in, grounds and main power are routed, and it’s already way cleaner than the relay mess I’m trying to get rid of. I do wrap it up with a few open questions for Part 2 — like where exactly I’m cutting out old relays/harnesses and what to do with extra wires — but the base is solid and ready for the actual accessory wiring next.
