About This Video

I’m out in Lake Arrowhead for the weekend (mid 40s, still a ton of snow) and this one’s a pretty random update video, but it covers some big stuff on my Tacoma build. I’ve been fighting a little headlight moisture issue and I’m trying to get that small plug out (it shows tight/loose, but it feels like it should pop out and it’s been a pain). I’m also waiting on my C4 fender liners to come back from powder coat—doing them with a light texture similar to my bumper, and I’m powder coating the brackets too. The only thing I’m leaving raw is the little aluminum C4 emblem so it stands out. The main upgrades I wanted to show are the Total Chaos cam tab gussets and the Total Chaos spindle gussets, which are huge for off-road strength and keeping alignment from getting wrecked. Tacomas are known for weak spindles when you’re off-roading and bottoming out, so reinforcing them is just smart. I also finally installed a DRT cab mount relocation kit—this is the real fix for 35s. Even after a cab mount chop, the mount still sticks out and I was rubbing; with the relocation, it cuts back a significant amount and now I’m not rubbing when turning. I also go over my 35" tire setup (negative 12 offset SCS wheels), my ~2.5–2.75" lift, and a quick note on my 700 lb springs and adjusting for taco lean so my driver side tire doesn’t camber out.
