About This Video

The Christmas tree is officially up, which means I’m absolutely here for the cosy Vlogmas backdrop. In part 1 of “calm in the chaos”, I take you along for a little B&M pop-in where I finally grab a paper star I’ve wanted for ages (only £2!) and some sweet little treat boxes because I always make edible gifts at Christmas. I try to figure out where on earth to hang the star (it’s very 3D and a bit… chunky), and I share my plans for festive gifting a bit later in Vlogmas. Back at home, I lean right into the cosy with a gingerbread latte using my favourite Home Bargains syrup (it’s genuinely so good) and a bit of squirty cream because it’s December and we deserve it. I chat about how busy this time of year can feel—small business life, uni work, everything—and how I’m trying to force myself to properly stop: crosswords instead of doom-scrolling, flicking through Country Living, knitting, reading, and even choosing a Christmas jigsaw. There’s also a little wildlife tip using leftover bacon fat with oats for the birds, and I show you my current knitting: another Sophie scarf as a gift, plus my very jingly handmade project bag and the row counter that’s been a total game changer for my shocking attention span lately.
