About This Video

Good morning, friends, and happy spring. In this cosy little vlog I’m pottering about with a coffee in my new (very pretty) Cath Kidston mug from TK Maxx, and sharing a couple of bargain finds—including The Last Devil to Die from the Thursday Murder Club series, which I’ve been trying to track down for ages. I also show you what’s new in my Etsy shop: a little sea of handmade loveliness in the form of my fabric baskets, including some springtime florals, ginghams, corduroy textures, and a special tie-dye fabric I dyed myself last year (the colours toned down in the nicest way and feel much more ā€œmeā€). The big thing in this video though is that my crochet mojo is officially back. I’ve picked up my Attic 24 Fireside Blanket again after about a year, re-learned the pattern, and I’ve been absolutely loving it—making the little ā€œmiddlesā€, adding more squares, and getting ready for the joining rounds. I chat through the yarn I’m using (Woolcraft New Fashion DK—my favourite for blankets because it’s soft and cosy), how I’m choosing colours so I don’t just reach for pink every time, and the little project setup that’s keeping me organised (mesh pouches, tiny pouches, stitch markers, and my favourite handmade crochet hook). I also share what I’ve been reading, listening to, and watching lately, plus a wee update on my archaeology course and how busy it’s been.
