About This Video

It’s a dark, cold, wet January morning here, so I’m fully leaning into the cosy vibes—fairy lights on, diffuser going, a candle lit, hot tea in hand, and all the layers (plus the hot water bottle, obviously). My volunteering at the palace gardens was called off because of the weather, which honestly gave me the perfect excuse to hunker down and have a proper catch up. I also share some little life bits—like my archaeology course starting back up next week (I’m genuinely excited to get my routine back), and I’m really pleased with my recent results too. I chat through what I’ve been reading and listening to, including my thoughts on The Bird Cage by Eve Chase, and the next Ruth Galloway book I’ve got lined up from the library (The Chalk Pit). I also talk about a slightly odd audiobook I’m persevering with, plus a soup recipe book I’ve been dipping into—simple, seasonal soups, lots of smoked paprika flavours, and a few recipes I’m really tempted by. Then I share some shop news: I’m running a January sale, and I’ve been sewing up new ā€œhobby basketsā€ to help with going more analog and staying off my phone. I show a bunch of new cosy winter cabin fabrics (ginghams, tartans, chunky corduroy), plus a little peek at a big tidy-up of my journaling trolley that I filmed over on Patreon.
