About This Video

In this cosy sewing vlog I’m in full ā€œnew stockā€ mode, making up a big batch of my little round baskets (and a few massive fabric baskets too) and getting everything photographed and ready for the shop. I’ve been playing with chunkier corduroys, needle cord (which, honestly, attracts every bit of fluff in the room), and lots of pretty Tilda florals. I’m really loving that bluey-greeny shade that’s not quite blue and not quite green, plus the mustard corduroy paired with gingham for a really soft, cosy feel. I’ve also started using a stiffer lining so the baskets hold their shape better, and I share a few ideas for how you can use them—small projects, a book, a puzzle book… anything that helps you not pick up your phone so much. It’s also a proper little coffee chat and home-life catch up. I replace my broken fairy lights (warm white and not battery-operated was non-negotiable), tidy up my ā€œfireā€ area (it’s fake—no logs are catching!), and have a quick houseplant check-in with my peace lily, pelargonium, and a huge amaryllis bulb I’ve finally planted. Then we have a book chat: I’m flying through Ellie Griffiths’ The Chalk Pit and I’m on the hunt for more detective/mystery audiobook recommendations, while I also mention what I’m watching on TV at the moment.
