About This Video

This week’s vlog is very much a ā€œlet’s be productive togetherā€ kind of video, with me in full autumn mode. I’m sewing a gorgeous assortment of project bags for my Etsy shop, choosing fabrics that feel like late summer tipping into autumn—sunflowers, darker blues, sycamore seeds, acorns, pine cones, toadstools… all the cosy vibes. I also share a couple of new shop bits (including my little pumpkin and ghost jingle bell stitch markers), and I chat through how I like to style and photograph my makes (yes, the fireside blanket makes an appearance as a prop!). I take you through my fabric cutting marathon (honestly, the longest bit), the production-line sewing, and the parts I love… and the bit I don’t love (sewing over zip ends always makes me feel like a needle is going to snap). Alongside the sewing, I’m listening to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue on audiobook and trying to pace myself with Spotify listening hours, and I share a proper cosy book update too—Ellie Griffiths’ The Woman in Blue was absolute comfort reading for me, and I’ve started the next Seven Sisters book. We finish with a little peek at my new corduroy stash and my plans to make more corduroy baskets for autumn projects (because I can’t stop stroking how soft it is!).
