About This Video

In today’s small business owner daily vlog (Tuesday), I’m taking you along for a real-life, slightly muggy day where I’m trying to get bits done even though I’m feeling tired. I skip the gym because the air con still hasn’t been on and I just know it wouldn’t feel good. I get all the products I showed yesterday properly uploaded and listed in my Etsy shop, then I pack orders for a post office run (and thank you so much if you’ve placed an order). I’m also posting a few bits for Vinted too — Joshua’s outdoor jackets have actually been selling really well, and I love having the inPost lockers at Lidl as an easy option. Back at home, I get into a sewing idea I’ve been thinking about for ages: patchwork-style, heavily embellished project bags. I rummage through my fabric wardrobe hunting for denim (annoyingly I don’t have as much as I thought), then I start building panels with iron-on patches, stamped fabric images I’d already made, scraps of denim, and some really gorgeous ribbon details. I’m so pleased with how fun they’re looking, even though it’s definitely more time-consuming with all the ironing and stitching. By the end of the day I’m done — a frustrating online chat with my phone provider tips me over the edge, and I’m feeling a bit low and worn out. I prep the linings and padding so I can sew properly tomorrow, and I chat about books too: I DNF’d a book because it was boring me, but I did finish the audiobook Wayward by Amelia Hart and really enjoyed it.
