Good morning from a Monday in my little crafty corner. I decided, just like that, that I’m doing daily vlogs all week—Monday right through to Sunday—because it feels so much easier to film in the nicer weather (even if I did come back from the gym absolutely freezing and had to put a jumper on). I started the day the way we all do, with a wee check of the garden, then it was straight up to the sewing room with an iced latte in my Snoopy cup and a big stack of products to photograph. I’d focused on one fabric last week and made a whole range so you can see how the same print looks across different items: a zippy project bag, little notions pouches with carefully chosen buttons and linings, and a couple of zippy pouches (one with a chunky “curtain tab” handle that I kept just for fun). I also made some of my classic drawstring bags again because I really fancied it. In amongst all that, I had a very random “use up the veg” lunch (stir-fried cabbage mix with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame seeds and an egg), did lots of techy jobs—Patreon vlog editing, Etsy photo editing, and faffing with YouTube thumbnails—and planned for homemade pizza night. By the end of the day I was a bit frazzled, so tomorrow’s hope is a proper sewing day with an audiobook on in the background.
