It’s been a bit of a while, hasn’t it? In this vlog I’m catching you up on where I’ve been, why I’ve stepped back from filming a little, and what I’ve actually been doing with my time. I’ve been properly enjoying the summer weather (I make no secret of it—I love the sunshine and the heat) and trying to switch off from “business brain” for a bit. I’ve also been spending loads of time in my garden, which is just beautiful right now, so you’ll see plenty of my flowers—lots grown from seed and perennials that come back every year (free plants every year is the best kind). Plus, there’s been lovely wildlife too: butterflies, a hummingbird hawk moth, and even an elephant hawk moth caterpillar. Creatively, I haven’t been doing loads of knitting or crochet, but I know as soon as it turns autumn my Attic 24 Fireside Blanket will be back out—though I love it so much I don’t want it to end. I also chat about ideas for a new starburst-style blanket with a neutral join, and I share what I *have* been making: journaling pages, little charms for my mini journal, and a big “my favourite things” spread that feels very me. I also pull fabrics to sew more fabric baskets for the shop (the last lot sold quickly), and I talk books—what I’m listening to and reading—plus a gentle reminder not to force your mojo when it’s gone.
