About This Video

It feels a little bit weird starting this vlog on a Friday, but that’s exactly where my week landed—me up in the sewing room, fairy lights on, absolutely freezing, and finishing a fresh batch of fabric baskets hot off the machine. I’m not a black girly at all, but I am obsessed with that black-and-cream gingham (especially because it’s brushed cotton—proper cosy jammies material). I also tweaked the baskets so they’re much stiffer now and they stand up by themselves, which I’m genuinely so pleased with. I chat through the Christmassy fabrics, the tartans, the candy-cane stripes, and the new combos I’m planning next. We also have a proper cosy catch up: uni life (essay submitted, another test looming), what I’ve been watching, and a big book chat with coffee in hand—The Sun Sister, audiobooks, and my hunt for Christmas reads that aren’t too sickly sweet. I update my reading journal, share a few charity shop finds, and talk about journaling supplies in my Etsy shop. Over the weekend I went to my first ever ceilidh (a ā€œkayeā€) and surprised myself by remembering the Scottish country dances from school, and I finish up with a little Gousto recipe unboxing—plus the mushroom Wellington I was very excited to try.
