About This Video

Hello and welcome back to a proper little catch up. In this autumnal vlog I’m chatting through what I’ve been up to lately—home life, sewing, reading (or attempting to!), and all the cosy bits in between. I share a quick intro for any new faces, a little update on the archaeology digs I’ve been doing (we were uncovering the footprint of an old mill, and it was a lot of work), and I also talk about how much I’m craving being back in my normal routine at home with everyday sewing and work. The BIG news is that I’m officially an archaeology student with Aberdeen University. I’m studying part-time and remotely, and I’ll be honest—I totally underestimated how much reading and coursework would be involved, so I’m figuring out how to fit it all in alongside Sew Ray Me, YouTube and Patreon. I also share what I’m reading (The Sun Sister is slow going for me right now, and my audiobook’s taken a back seat too), plus a cosy little moment with tea and a snack. And of course, there’s plenty of shop chat: I show you the autumn fabrics I’ve been using (corduroy, micro cord, William Morris), the project bags and baskets I’ve made, and my favourite colour combinations and linings—proper seasonal sewing that feels so nice this time of year.
