About This Video

Good morning from a semi-sunny Saturday in Scotland. In this weekend vlog I head out for a little countryside walk (just a quick 5–10 minute drive) because it breaks my day up and makes me appreciate being at home even more. I ended up having a wander through an old cemetery at the start of the route, which was genuinely really interesting and a wee bit spooky—lots of stones from the 1800s, some so eroded you can’t read them, and so many fallen over. It gave me the chills, but I’m glad I had a look because I haven’t been in for years. Back home it’s very much ā€œYouTube versus realityā€ as I lose hours to a supposedly simple DIY job (replacing the seal on my shower screen… a nightmare). Then Sunday is the cosy reset I needed: PJs, watching vlogs properly, and finally easing myself back into crafting by sewing in ends on my Fireside crochet blanket (not my favourite job, but it needs done). I also share what I’m reading (the next Ellie Griffiths book), potter in and out of the garden, and unpack my Gousto box to make the week ahead easier now school’s back. It’s one of those restorative weekends where I sit outside, do absolutely nothing for a bit, and call it meditation.
