In this video I’m sharing my real, no-sponsorship first 24 hours with the Samsung Galaxy S10—and before we even get into the phone, I had to talk about the weird YouTube extremes. Everybody either hates a device for clicks or calls it “the greatest thing ever,” and there’s never anything in the middle. So this is me trying to land in that middle: honest first impressions, what I like, what I don’t, and what I still need more time with. Design-wise, I’m actually pretty positive. It’s the usual “glass sandwich,” but if you’re gonna do a glass sandwich, Samsung makes the best one. I went with Prism White and it looks different depending on the light, which is genuinely cool. I love the triple camera setup on the back (ultra-wide, standard, telephoto), and I’m glad the front is a single hole-punch instead of that pointless pill cutout. The screen is absolutely the best you’ll find on a smartphone, even if last year’s flagships won’t feel wildly different. Size-wise, the regular S10 is the sweet spot (the Plus is just too big). One UI has been surprisingly great—snappy, clean, customizable—and yeah, controversial take: I actually like it more than stock Android right now. Even Bixby Home has been useful for contextual info. I haven’t tested the cameras enough yet, but overall, I’m hoping this is the first phone I don’t feel the need to upgrade within a year.
