In this video I’m taking a close look at the Pixel IVISII G2 pocket RGB camera light—one of those tiny LED panels that’s part of the big boom in consumer-to-prosumer lighting right now. Pixel sent it out to me, but I’m not compensated and they didn’t get to preview anything. I start with the physical overview: it’s full aluminum, I’ve already accidentally dropped it twice, and it kept working like nothing happened. My two favorite parts are the super simple menu navigation (no app, no annoying menu digging—just tap and flick) and the “crazy” articulated stand that mounts to a hot shoe and moves a bunch of different ways. Then I test real performance: output surprised me for the size. At 5600K, I’m basically properly exposed around 45% intensity, and at 100% I’m about a stop over. It’s bi-color from 2600K all the way to 10,000K, plus full RGB with hue and saturation control, and it includes effects like TV screen, lightning, fire, and police/ambulance. I also show three key-light setups (on-camera, 45-degree, and diffused) and call out the main drawback: a slight magenta shift that you’ll want to fix in post. Battery-wise, I only recharged it twice over two weeks of on-and-off use, and at 50–80% I’d expect roughly 1.5–2 hours; USB-C charging is quick. For $60–$70, it’s a versatile, powerful little light if you can live with correcting that tint.
