Is this camera on? In this video I’m basically ripping the band-aid off and explaining why Screenbite went quiet for so long—and why I’m finally back. The short version: I got burnt out. Between a full-time job, life, and buying gear out of pocket as a small creator, the “upload every Wednesday” grind just wasn’t sustainable for me. But I genuinely missed making videos, talking tech, and just creating whatever the heck I want to create. I also share the bigger reason this comeback is happening now: I was diagnosed in June with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s very treatable, but I’m currently going through six months of chemo (I’m on month two), and I’m taking time off work to focus on staying physically and mentally strong. For me, creating content is a big part of that mental side. Going forward, expect Screenbite… but with tempered expectations. I’m uploading when I want, focusing on the stuff I’m actually buying and using—headphones, mice, keyboards (especially custom mechanical keyboards), and the usual creator tech. I may also bring you along on a fitness/health journey again, because apparently 2020 had other plans for me.
