If you’ve ever opened Claude, stared at the blank chat box, and had absolutely no idea what to type, this video is for you. I walk through the Claude Cowork “Ideas” tab—the light bulb icon under Dispatch—and it’s basically Claude telling you what it can do for you based on your emails, calendar, files, and whatever tools you connect. Zero prompting required. I break down the four idea buckets you’ll see (Create, Analyze, Organize, Communicate), plus how plugins and connectors change what shows up on your screen. The big takeaway: the more connectors you add, the smarter and more personalized the Ideas tab gets. I demo adding Slack in literally one click, and immediately new Slack-specific ideas auto-populate (summarize a channel, draft a message, set up a tracker, etc.). Then I run two live examples straight from Ideas: planning a Hawaii trip (it even web-searches and cites sources) and catching up on what I missed across Slack + Gmail in parallel—where it surfaced sponsorship threads and even pulled Skool DMs that landed in Gmail. Everyone’s Ideas screen will look different, and that’s the whole point—connect what you actually use daily and let Claude do the “what should I ask?” part for you.
