Today we're doing a layman's review of the Pro Display XDR. We're looking at design, size and resolution, brightness and HDR capabilities, contrast , color accuracy, connectivity, ergonomics, and price, with the stand included. There are a couple of other 6K displays coming out that give you a good chunk of the Pro Display XDR‘s performance and even some things that the Pro Display doesn't have. That said, the XDR is still the top of the line, because there are things other than a 6K resolution that matter on a monitor. *Pro Display XDR* Amazon https://amzn.to/4n5MjgV B&H https://bhpho.to/3UO3Eiw Fix Sliding Stand Issue https://youtu.be/SFNMi8bmL9U Unlock 100% HDR Brightness for SDR https://youtu.be/12yA2cSW9Ws *ASUS ProArt 6K* Review https://youtu.be/t-LO7mB7nwE Comparison with Pro Display XDR https://youtu.be/oevmZYs3eKE *Thunderbolt* CalDigit Thunderbolt 5 Hub https://amzn.to/4m38nI7 CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 Hub https://amzn.to/4guVoOt *Office* Dell U3225QE https://amzn.to/4k2aMSr LG DualUp https://amzn.to/4lEK6cg LG Vertical Mouse https://amzn.to/3GDHEmi LG MX Master Keyboard https://amzn.to/4d8Wi1r Desk Felt Pads https://amzn.to/4jhCKKe *CHAPTERS* 00:00 Introduction 00:29 Resolution & Refresh Rate 01:18 Size 01:47 Brightness & HDR 02:32 Contrast Ratio 03:16 Glossy vs Matte 04:04 Colors | Impressions 04:29 Colors | Off-Axis Shift 04:51 Viewing Angles 05:02 Colors | Specifications 05:31 Controls 06:00 Design 06:32 Connectivity 07:48 Ergonomics 08:16 Security 08:26 Windows Compatibility 09:01 Price 09:32 OLED Why I Abandoned OLED.. https://youtu.be/0bVXV_a5I5s 10:25 Conclusion 10:53 Thanks for watching! *SOURCES* [1] https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/apple-pro-display-xdr *SOCIAL* Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ruslan.tulupov/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/RuslanTulupov Email - tulupov120101@gmail.com *YOUTUBE CHANNEL(S)* Cars, Home DIY https://youtube.com/@RuslanVideoFilms Tech DIY https://www.youtube.com/@RuslanTulupov *SEE MY OTHER VIDEOS* https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHK15PAaEKsk_IGRGDUE2Cit https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHJzDSsSBBDMmEL4kmWN3yQE https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHJ9VlisT45SoUxKk1LY-776 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHJDmg8qwih7qLhb7srMXaNA https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHLl9ULvQgRgwTrkYlli8mlR https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHJDMMwu7qpJ8huhmG_cRtp4 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHIO-dux0PQQ5BksvnncK3D2 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHIyhL3f3weKYDoo36ewTrF9 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHLq2aZUNUDRMMXpE_hSAcce https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHKHtsFyW4Jj2VKtAIQRClGl https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHKo0fna7UckRf1XzipdqMW2 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHKH6oxC3akLgkSlf7kFkgnI https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsM6d1ncFAHIi0F687GATslpMHUkmJVGo *MUSIC* Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio https://www.youtube.com/@UC_6hQy4elsyHhCOskZo0U5g

About This Video

In this video I’m doing a layman’s review of the Apple Pro Display XDR, and I’m going through the stuff that actually matters day-to-day: design, size and resolution, brightness/HDR, contrast, color accuracy, connectivity, ergonomics, and of course the price (with the stand included). I also explain why 6K (6016 x 3384) is still the sweet spot for clarity and productivity on a 32-inch screen—4K at 32 inches can feel a bit low on pixel density if you sit close. And despite the XDR being years old, I don’t think the “it’s old” argument holds up until someone ships a 6K display that’s meaningfully better—like higher than 60Hz. Where the XDR earns its money is brightness and HDR. For SDR it’s 500 nits, and in HDR it can do 1,000 nits sustained and up to 1,600 nits peak, and that “crank it up on a bright day” experience is genuinely next level. Contrast is also wild for an IPS thanks to the 576 dimming zones—yes, you can see some blooming in a dark room, but I’ll take that trade because IPS doesn’t break down like OLED and I’m not dealing with burn-in from a dock/menu bar. I also cover the glossy glass, off-axis white point shift, Mac-first controls, the Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth limitations on the rear USB-C ports, and why the $6,000 price only makes sense if you truly need XDR-grade HDR work.
