In this video I put the ASUS ProArt 6K (PA32QCV) next to the LG UltraFine 6K and just talk through the real-world differences—because someone asked for a direct, layman comparison. It’s also a less polished follow-up (we literally just welcomed our baby son, Alexander), so I’m focusing on what jumped out immediately: panel consistency, brightness, controls, stand behavior, coatings, and some small design details that matter when you’re living with a monitor every day on a Mac setup. The big takeaway is that both of these 6K displays can look spectacular when they’re showing color and static wallpapers—resolution is A+ on both. But quality assurance needs to be better across the board. My first ProArt had uneven brightness and nasty backlight bleed (I returned it), and my LG has a very obvious blue tint/perimeter that I’m also returning. With a good panel, though, the ProArt is the one I’m keeping: it’s noticeably brighter in my use, the front-facing controls are way easier, the power supply is integrated, and overall the design just feels a bit smarter. Also: returning the LG may involve dealing with slow LG support, which is worth knowing before you drop $2,000.
