About This Video

Happy New Year, gang. In this short, I’m taking a moment to say thank you before we say goodbye to 2025. So many of you supported Guitar College this past year—watching the live streams and videos, subscribing, turning on notifications, showing up at our jazz guitar festival and workshops, and jumping into the library at guitarcollegelibrary.com (and guitarcol.com). I don’t take that lightly. You helped make it a great year for us, and I’m grateful. Now we’re walking into 2026, and I want to start the year off right by offering 12 guitar tips designed to help you master the instrument. These are the kinds of tips that get your mind thinking differently—so you can learn faster, learn smarter, and give yourself an advantage when you’re tackling new things on the guitar. The real takeaway is this: ask yourself if you’re ready to commit. We’re not getting any younger—but music keeps you young, learning keeps you young, and you’ve got to keep showing up. Think about it for the next few days: is this your year to make real strides? Then get ready—because we’re going to learn this year.
