Day 181 of my WoW-to-FFXIV sprout saga, and I’m cleaning up some of the last Patch 4.5 bits—starting, as all responsible Warriors of Light do, with Triple Triad chaos. The rules were “chaos,” the vibes were “gambling addiction,” and I somehow discovered a new meta: pretend you don’t care about MGP and the game immediately hands you wins. From there, it’s straight back into Four Lords business with The Wreath of Snakes, where I’m desperately hoping for more Tenzen vibes… and immediately get hit with “urgent missives,” bad glowing rocks, and a very real “danger noodle” situation. I rally the community (raffle time) for a first-time blind run of The Reef of Snakes, and the fight absolutely pops off—spectacle without feeling like unreadable nonsense. The music blindsides me in the best way (full-on happy banger energy), and I’m already thinking how insane this is going to be on Extreme. Also yes: pizza becomes a main character. I negotiate domestic peace, order a massive UK Domino’s hot honey/’nduja situation with pineapple like a villain, then immediately regret how big “large” actually is. We wrap with lore context on Seiryu’s past and Tenzen’s influence, plus a quick detour into reacting to old Day 62 Redzy and questioning who that man even is.
