Welcome back to Day 177 of my WoW-to-FFXIV sprout arc, sounding a bit funky because I’ve been properly unwell—but we’re back. This is my first stream since finishing the 4.5 MSQ, my mind is still sufficiently blown, and I’m now dangerously excited for Shadowbringers after that cinematic trailer. Before we get into the actual business, I do what any responsible Warrior of Light would do: I hit the Gold Saucer for some very necessary “gamber” therapy, argue with myself about whether my mask glam is creepy or cool (Edgy Redzy, maybe), and then go on an inventory/glam dresser mission so I don’t absolutely brick my outfit. Then we dive into the Return to Ivalice finale setup, and the lore starts coming in hot. We’re talking Rabanastre, the clockwork city of Goug, the Orbonne Monastery, and a whole pile of “this feels like an alliance raid” energy. Ramsa suddenly acting nice? Suspicious. Alma getting sick and hearing things? Also suspicious. And then the game decides to say “Ultima” with its full chest—high seraph, angel of blood, and even an Omega callback—so I’m sat there like, how many Ultimas do I have to deal with? We end with Mikoto dropping terrifying oracite science and a device that looks way too much like it’s meant to stab someone, and I’m just trying to raid with my friends, man.
