In this video I’m sharing everything we’ve already bought for the girls for Christmas 2022—Isla (almost 5) and Iris (2.5). I’m very organised with Christmas shopping, so I’m walking you through what’s arrived, what’s still on the way, and why each gift made the cut in our home. As a former early years and primary teacher, I’m always thinking about gifts that support independence, imagination, and real skills—without needing a screen. You’ll see a big mix of Montessori-friendly favourites: practical and imaginative play (Jenna dolls with mix-and-match outfits, a proper plastic tea set they can actually pour with, dress-up wings that won’t fall apart), arts and fine motor work (scratch art paper, a hammer bead set for patience and perseverance, French knitting), and lots of books because we’re a big read-aloud family (Chronicles of Narnia, Peter Rabbit, Enid Blyton’s Wishing Chair, and James Herriot). I’m also adding more science into our homeschool with a microscope kit with slides, plus a National Geographic rock and mineral collection. I also share a few stocking fillers we genuinely use all the time—bath drops, bath bombs, jelly bath, and water beads—because it means I don’t have to keep topping up sensory play supplies for ages.
