Happy New Year! In this video I’m giving you a fresh playroom tour for 2022—except it’s actually our living room that we’ve completely cleared of adult furniture and dedicated to the girls. Because we live in a two-bed villa in Dubai and we’re homeschooling, it just made sense to use our space wisely and create a child-led area that actually gets used every single day. I walk you through the layout, what’s stayed the same, what I’ve tweaked, and why I’m always tempted to change things again. I show you how I keep the room practical and Montessori-aligned in the way it’s set up (everything child-sized and accessible), while being honest that most of what’s in here are open-ended toys—not “Montessori toys.” You’ll see our reading corner with a floor mattress, our Mud Kitchens UAE forward-facing bookshelf, the Pickler triangle set-up (with the ramp/slide and wobble board), and how I store our animal figurines by category in a Trofast.
