Hey y’all—today’s video is a true “using up the stash” moment because I’m trying to finally finish my Nature’s Little Secret Avocado Moisture Cream (and when I tell you it’s basically gone… it’s basically gone). This was also my first day back filming hair content after having a protective style in for almost 6 weeks, so I came in excited and ready for a good styling day. I pre-pooed, shampooed, and deep conditioned first, then went in with the Avocado Moisture Cream as my leave-in because it’s one of my favorite NLS products—super moisturizing, easy to apply, and it makes my hair feel good immediately. For the style, I paired that leave-in with the Bask & Bloom Hydrating Vitamin C Curl Mousse and did my go-to braid out routine. The mousse applies really smooth (it almost turns creamy in my hands), and I got shine and definition right out the braids with no crunch. By Friday, my hair was still moisturized and still had definition, but the hold was softer than I wanted and the shape wasn’t giving my “best braid out” vibes—so overall, I’d rate this combo a 3/5. Not bad at all, just not a favorite, and I think it’s because the super-moisturizing leave-in softened the hold I usually get with this mousse.
