Hey y’all — in this Using Up the Stash episode, I’m revisiting a product I literally used to LOVE: the Maui Moisture Thicken & Restore Bamboo Fibers Strengthening Milk. It’s discontinued (pain), which is honestly why I feel like I’ve been hoarding it. But one of my commitments for 2026 is giving myself only the best and actually using what I have, so I pulled it back out for a wash and go and paired it with my good old faithful Wet Line (because y’all know she’s bulletproof and I’ve used her a bajillion times). On application, I’m not gonna lie — it felt kind of lackluster at first, and I realized it applies way better on soaking wet hair (not damp). The slip “activates” more with water, and it even kind of foams up a bit when you add water. The real surprise was after letting it sit: my hair got super soft, looked shiny and defined, and my wash and go ended up more voluminous with zero crunch. I checked back in through Tuesday (styled Saturday), and the combo held up really nicely with definition still there, just normal frizz starting to show on my underbelly section. Final thoughts: I enjoyed it, I’ll happily use it up, but if I could repurchase, I’d probably reach for Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength leave-in instead because I like the way it applies better.
