Hey y’all — I’m finally picking the camera back up after a real break (like 40+ days), and this vlog is me easing back into creating while I’m also just trying to navigate grief. I talk about what life has looked like lately, how my sleep has been all over the place, and how I’ve been coping (including a little “do as I say, not as I do” grief shopping). I also share some everyday life bits: I found my all-time favorite Aunt Jackie’s Frizz Patrol mousse for $3 at TJ Maxx/Marshalls (YES), grabbed cozy new jams, got my fave “popping pumpkin” latte with the pop rocks on top, and I’m still doing my little bookish thing — because reading is one of my escapes. I also take y’all along for a much-needed wash day after having my braids in for about a month (and yes… taking them down took me hours). I walk through my wash day lineup and tell you what’s working, what’s just getting used up, and what I’m not repurchasing. I’m pre-pooing, detoxing my scalp, clarifying, and then going in with a mask and a wash-and-go because I like my hair to breathe right after a protective style. We also get into home updates, little purchases that made my space feel better, and a super sweet PR/gift moment that had me like… “Sultanicals, why y’all got a deep conditioner named after me?”
