Hey y’all—this video is my very first book haul of 2026, and yes… I have a buttload of books. I grabbed around 15 books from three places: Dollar Tree, Half Price Books, and Amazon. And before anybody tries to put me on a “book ban,” I’m just gonna say it: I don’t know that I believe in a book ban. I’ve already got a million books on my shelves, but if I find a deal (or a cover with a Black girl on it), I’m looking—period. I start with my Dollar Tree finds (because every time I go, I have to hit that book aisle). Then we get into my Half Price Books run where I got eight books for $35—heavy on the clearance section, okay? I talk through what pulled me in: Black authors, magical realism, travel reads, cozy mysteries, friendship stories, and a couple “this might break my heart” picks. Finally, Amazon is where I treated myself a little—Bell Hooks to complete my set, physical copies of books I already loved, and a few “FOMO made me do it” purchases. No regrets, just vibes—and a very ambitious TBR.
