Hey y’all—today’s video is a “using up the stash” wash day, but with a twist because I’m finally trying a new-to-me deep conditioner: Annabelle’s Perfect Blends Extreme Hydration Conditioning Mask. I’ve had a few Annabelle’s products sitting around (I only really used up the leave-in before), and I was originally going to try the Cotton Candy Bubblegum Mask in the summer… but since it’s cold out, I figured extreme hydration just made more sense. I also hopped on the website because the jar doesn’t give a ton of details, and I wanted the full directions and a better look at what’s in it. I applied the mask on wet hair after pre-pooing (African Pride) and shampooing (Eden BodyWorks), then worked in sections and braided my hair up. Y’all… my hair immediately drank this mask up. It’s whipped, creamy, and it melts in fast—so fast that it made the whole application quick, and rinsing it out was easy too (it literally slid out and felt gone after a few seconds). I will say it’s not really “giving slip,” but because I pre-pooed, detangling wasn’t a struggle. My biggest takeaway: this mask left my hair soft, moisturized, and shiny, and it’s a perfect base for styling. I’m mad I waited this long to try it, and now I’m excited to rotate through the rest of my Annabelle’s stash (and yes, if y’all want the Extreme Hydration “custard” review—even though it’s giving cream—let me know).
