In this video I’m breaking down my Galaxy app update results for July (and even a quick peek into early August) to show you what Samsung has been doing behind the scenes. I jump into my screenshots and walk through the updates I actually saw hit my phone, including Samsung Pass, Samsung Health Monitor (which stays getting updates), Samsung Text-to-Speech, and even Netflix showing up in the Galaxy Store like it always does. I also show a bit of my setup—Good Lock has let me make my device feel way more personal—and I’ll do a full setup video soon. The big takeaway is this: a lot of the Good Guardians and Good Lock modules were updated with “support for One UI 8,” and that’s not nothing. Thermal Guardian, Battery Guardian, Memory Guardian, Galaxy App Booster, Display Guardian—Samsung is clearly getting these apps ready. To me, that’s a strong sign One UI 8 is around the corner, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it lands by the end of August or around the time Google drops Android 16 officially. I also call out updates like Theme Park adding new icon effects, One Hand Operation+ getting tweaks, and My Files updating without details—classic Samsung optimization moves.
